Submit Your Meeting Announcement
The Chicago Dental Society provides the free publication of meeting announcements for dental study clubs and not-for-profit organizations in the CDS Review and online. The publication of such notices is at the sole discretion of CDS. Include the subject, date, time, location and speaker’s name and degree, as well as the name and phone or email of your contact person. Information must be submitted in writing. CDS reserves the right to edit material for space and style.

Course description:
The BLS/CPR AED Training is a two-year certification program developed by the American Heart Association. Attendees will learn how to recognize a cardiac arrest, know when and how to call for assistance, provide effective compressions and rescue breathing, properly use an AED machine, and successfully handle choking emergencies in order to save the lives of adults, children and infants. The training includes the use of life-like, state-of-the-art manikins, practice exercises with AEDs and Covid-19 Safety Training. A 2024 CPR/AED 2-year certification card, digital booklet, reminder card and mouth barrier are provided upon completion.

- Recognize a cardiac arrest, call for help, provide effective compressions and rescue breathing
- Effectively use an AED machine and manage choking emergencies
About our speaker:
Vickie Onesti has been educating corporations, communities, schools, universities and other organizations for more than 35 years. As the owner of a national CPR AED and emergency first aid training and certification company, Vickie finds joy in discovering ways to educate and enhance the lives of everyone she meets. It is Vickie's personal mission in life to empower individuals with the skills to recognize cardiac arrest, master compression and breathing techniques, effectively use an AED machine, and confidently respond to various emergency situations with calmness.
