Registration & Credentials Committee (RAC)

Committee Purpose
This committee shall assist in greeting attendees and exhibitors arriving to pick up their registration badges. They shall also assist the CDS staff with special and directional assistance, setup, and dismantling of the registration area.
Structure and Composition
The Midwinter Meeting Registration and Credentials Committee shall consist of nine members.

Annually, the CDS President-Elect, Secretary, and Vice President shall appoint the Committee Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary, respectively. In addition, each of these three CDS Officers shall appoint two additional members to the committee.

Committee Goals

  • Assist CDS Staff to Manage General Registration, addressing questions, directions, and assistance on self-check-in.
  • Assist in directing participants regarding registration and membership questions.
  • Monitor the registration area to ensure all registrants are properly categorized and processed.
  • Assist in resolving any difficulties which may arise.
  • Function as an information center for the MWM and reinforce the value of membership.
  • Assist in the operation of the EXPERIENCE CDS Booth located on the exhibit floor for a designated time slot.

    • Meeting and Time Commitment

    A minimum of three (3) committee members, appointed by the Chair prior to the start of the convention, must be available from the start of the registration setup through Friday. The committee balance, comprised of six members, must be available from the start of the scientific session, which begins at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. A few members will be needed for packing assistance on Saturday at the end of the meeting. Committee members receive a per diem for each day of service as well as complimentary housing (Tuesday through Saturday) at the MWM headquarters hotel. The total time commitment is four days.
