Join CDS and TDIC in UIC College of Dentistry’s Lecture Hall South on Tuesday, July 28th from 12:30-1:30pm for the lunch & learn “Who Covers Me? Malpractice Insurance Questions Every New Dentist Should Ask”
Course summary: A proactive approach to risk management is essential to protecting patients, practitioners, and the practice. This course provides practical strategies for identifying and reducing risk through proper documentation, informed consent, patient dismissal protocols, time-out procedures and appropriate patient refund practices. Participants will gain practical tools to identify and minimize loss exposures while utilizing risk management concepts.
Speaker Bio: Taiba Solaiman is a Senior RM analyst with TDIC, with over 30 years of experience focused on the dental industry. She shares her extensive background and expertise by speaking nationally representing the company at seminars, dental conventions, dental schools and participating dental societies. She is the managing writer for the TDIC publications. Ms. Solaiman leads the development and content creation on behalf of the risk management department for seminars and multiple resource offerings including informed consents/practice focused sample forms and reference guides. She also advises dentists in the areas of professional and employment liability, property and cyber risk management.
