West Side Branch members Gary and Diana Alder, Sharon and Dave Perlman, Carla Delafuente, and Michael Tauber attended the Summer Social event and saw James Taylor perform at Ravinia in June.
Kamal Vibhakar, Larry Jacobs, Eloy Martinez, and Gary Alder represented the West Side Branch in the West Suburban Branch Golf Outing. No hole-in-ones reported.
Rick Kohn and Michelle Jennings were off traveling again this time to Italy. They visited Lake Como, Cinque Terra, Milan, Florence, and Tuscany. A lot of good food and wine was consumed. They celebrated the wedding of Monica Babbitt and Kevin Kopp at a fairy tale wedding in Tuscany.
West Side Branch and other CDS members met on Saturday, July 26th for a weekend concert at the Pritzker Pavilion and enjoyed an evening of music presented by the Grant Park Orchestra honoring Rodgers and Hammerstein. Among those attending were Sharon Perlman and husband Dave, Michael Tauber, Michelle Jennings and Rick Kohn, Joanne Oppenheim, Ken Kromash and Ilie and Cristina Pavel. A few rain drops fell pre-concert but did not dampen the mood.
Blase Brown's daughter, Bridget, just spent the month of May in Vancouver filming a pilot for FX/Disney called Seven Sisters. Bridget is a feature actor working alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Cristin Milioti, Anthony Edwards, and others in an ensemble cast. We are hoping the pilot, which will air in early 2026, gets picked up as a series. Bridget has done previous work in films and television, working with the likes of Gretta Gerwig, Kieran Culkin, Miley Cyrus, and William H Macey.
