Exhibit Hall Committee

Committee Purpose
The Exhibits Committee is responsible for:

  • Serve as CDS ambassadors to welcome exhibitors and be visible CDS volunteers to assist in building a relationship with the exhibitors by assisting with any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Serve as greeters in the Exhibitor Lounge and ensure that all exhibitors know the areas for breaks, food, and beverages available in the exhibit hall.
  • Understand the layout of the exhibits, be able to identify and eliminate fire hazards, and know the locations of all fire exits and fire hose cabinets.
  • Assist CDS staff as requested in the onsite Exhibit Sales office during the assignment of booth space for next year’s Midwinter Meeting.
  • Assist in hosting the EXPERIENCE CDS Booth on the exhibit floor for a designated time slot.
  • Structure and Composition
    The Midwinter Meeting Exhibit Hall Committee shall consist of six (6) members.

    Each year, the CDS President Elect, Secretary, and Vice-President shall appoint the Committee Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary, respectively. In addition, each of these three CDS Officers will appoint one additional member to the Committee.

    Meeting and Time Commitment

    All Committee members must be available from the start of exhibit set-up (Usually 8:00 a.m. one (1) day before the exhibits’ opening) through Friday. Committee members receive a per diem for each day of service as well as complimentary housing (Tuesday through Saturday) at the MWM headquarters hotel. The total timetable is approximately four days.

    Committee members are permitted to attend courses on Saturday. Only three (3) committee members may participate at the same time.
