About the Speakers:
Dr. Behnam (Ben) Darvishan joined Midwestern University as an adjunct faculty member in the preclinical program at the College of Dental Medicine–Arizona after graduating from the program in 2015. During his time in private practice, Dr. Darvishan utilized digital technologies to fabricate indirect ceramic restorations, occlusal guards, and surgical guides for implant restorations.

At the start of the pandemic, he became intrigued by the capabilities of 3D printing and has since had the opportunity to work with multiple types of printers as a preclinical assistant professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine–Illinois. He has designed and printed numerous projects that have advanced the research of preclinical students.

Currently, Dr. Darvishan serves as a clinical care coordinator at the College of Dental Medicine and collaborates with Dr. Mohan to help students achieve the highest levels of success in their digital dentistry journey. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his one-year-old daughter.

Dr. Sidharth Mohan is Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University. He completed his specialty training in prosthodontics at the University of Florida, a field dedicated to restoring function and esthetics through the use of dental prosthetics. Dr. Mohan’s expertise includes dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and full-mouth reconstructions.

In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing basketball and soccer, and exploring local dining hotspots.

Dr. August J Durso, Jr. is an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove. He completed his DDS degree at Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1984. He began instructing at MWUCDMI in 2017 as a clinical adjunct and in 2020 became a pre-clinical adjunct. He accepted a full-time pre-clinical position in February of 2022. He worked in private practice for 38 years.
