Join the North Suburban Branch at the Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park on October 13, 2026 for the lecture “Oral Effects of Marijuana and Vaping” presented by Beth Miloro, DDS, MPH.
Course Description: Review and recognize oral and systemic effects of marijuana and vaping.
Speaker Bio: Dr. Miloro, a native Iowan, received her dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and then attended The Ohio State University for a fellowship in Oral Pathology. She has held academic positions at the University of Iowa, Creighton University and the University of Illinois Chicago. While at the University of Illinois Chicago, she earned an MPH in health policy and administration, and taught general pathology and oral pathology to dental students, in addition to her clinical role as Head of the Oral Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Miloro’s research interests include oral cancer and the application of brush biopsy tissue collection with miRNA analysis in the differentiation of oral squamous cell carcinoma from other oral mucosal disorders. She started the Oral Cancer Awareness Student group at the University of Illinois Chicago dental school and has lead and participated in community outreach programs to increase awareness of oral cancers.
