Committee Purpose
The CDS Officer Committee (COC) plays a vital role in planning engaging social and networking events for the Midwinter Meeting. Each year, it is important for the committee to evaluate these events to ensure they are financially sustainable and appeal to attendees. This assessment will help determine which events continue to provide value and foster increased participation.
The CDS Officer Committee (COC) plays a vital role in planning engaging social and networking events for the Midwinter Meeting. Each year, it is important for the committee to evaluate these events to ensure they are financially sustainable and appeal to attendees. This assessment will help determine which events continue to provide value and foster increased participation.
An annual evaluation of the timing and scope of all scheduled events will help maintain the status as a prominent and attractive gathering for all attendees.
Structure and Composition
The members of the CDS Officers Committee (COC) will serve as voting members of the DMC. This committee will include the President, President-Elect, Secretary, Vice-President, Treasurer, and the Immediate Past New Dentist Board Member. Each officer will serve a term of five years. The Immediate Past New Dentist Board Member will serve a term of one year following their year on SPSC. Effective April 1, annually, the position of chair will transfer to the CDS President-elect.

Committee Goals
- To develop and organize all social and networking events for the MWM.
- The implementation of social and fiscal responsible programs that adhere to the annual budget approved by the CDS Board of Directors.
- In terms of programming, the officers will identify and recommend speakers in accordance with the CDS Mission Statement.
Meeting:
All COC meetings will follow the SPSC meetings and will meet additionally after the MWM Debrief Meeting.
