Membership types

Pre-dental Student (U.S.): No Charge

Undergraduate in a pre-dental program at a U.S. university or college with the intent to become a dentist or enroll in dental school. Hygienist and Assistant students are not eligible to join as pre-dental students.

Dental Student (U.S.): No Charge

Student at an accredited dental school in the U.S. Application must be completed to activate membership and receive 5 digit CDS identification number.

Post Graduate or Resident: No Charge
Post graduate or resident in a specialty program or hospital residency. No Charge for membership in the Chicago Dental Society during the term of your program. Consider joining the American Dental Association as a Post Graduate or Resident at an annual fee of $30.

International Associate Member: $125
Dentist practicing outside of the United States. The fee for membership is $125 per calendar year. The fee increases to $195 if you join during the dates of the Midwinter Meeting.

Associate Member: $125
Dentist practicing outside Lake, DuPage, or Cook counties, Illinois and current member of the American Dental Association. The fee for membership is $125 per calendar year. The fee increases to $195 if you join during the dates of the Midwinter Meeting.

Associate Member: $0
First calendar year out of dental school. Dentist practicing outside Lake, DuPage, or Cook counties, Illinois and current member of the American Dental Association. Membership is calendar year.

Tripartite Member: (Member fee varies)

Dentist practicing within Lake, DuPage, or Cook counties, Illinois.
