Course Description:
The course will focus on current techniques in cleaning and shaping for effective disinfection of the root canal system. The course will provide an update and the most current techniques to debride canals and focus on the use of the Gentle Wave system for irrigation.
Learning Objectives:
After attending this course, the participant should be able to:
- Effectively diagnose pulpal pathology and the methods to treat.
- Deliver the most current and effective debridement of the root canal.
- Be familiar with the Gentle Wave technique and how to apply it to practice.
About the Speaker
Dr. Aneel Belani grew up in Aurora, not far from his office. He went to Waubonsie Valley High School and still keeps in touch with the friends he made growing up in the area. Dr. Aneel studied Biology at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and was actively involved in community service activities. He then went to dental school at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Aneel spent two years doing an endodontic residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, one of the most highly regarded endodontic residency programs in the country. In 2011, Dr. Aneel became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Only 20% of endodontists are board certified and Dr. Aneel became the youngest endodontist to ever achieve this honor. He established Elite Dental Specialists in February of 2011. In his free time, Dr. Aneel enjoys travel, sports, and exercise.
