DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, January 13\, at Coopers Hawk\, located at 15690 Harlem Ave\, Orland Park\, IL 60462. \n Max Emmerling DDS\, MD\, will present  Evaluation and Management of Odontogenic Infections. Cocktails/networking will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the program at 7 p.m. \nRSVP Today \nSpeaker Bio:\nDr. Max Emmerling was born and raised in the Baltimore area and completed all of his education and training in the state of Maryland. He received a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland. He received his Medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine and his Dental Degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He went on to do this Oral & Maxillofacial training at the University of Maryland Medical Center and world famous R Adams Cowley Schock Trauma Center\, one the busiest and high acclaimed trauma centers in the country. \nDr. Emmerling’s primary clinical interests include: orthognathic surgery\, maxillofacial trauma\, and TMJ surgery. He is involved in research in areas of maxillofacial trauma\, dentofacial deformities\, benign maxillofacial pathology\, and temporomandibular joint disorders and has been published in various articles and book chapters on these topics. We are blessed to have him in the Chicago land area working at Cook County Stroger Hospital where he is a full time attending and training our future residents in the field\, including myself. \nToday he will be presenting a lecture on the Evaluation and Management of Odontogenic Infections. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand the etiology and pathogenesis of odontogenic infections.\nApply anatomical principles to the evaluation of odontogenic infections.\nUtilize basic surgical principles in the treatment of odontogenic infections.\nUnderstand the importance of antibiotic stewardship.\n\nCE Hours:\n2
