DESCRIPTION:Join the West Side Branch at The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association in Oak Park on January 12\, 2027 for the lecture “Interprofessional collaboration with otolaryngologists” presented by Michael Hutz\, MD. \nCourse Description: Dentists and otolaryngologists (ENT physicians) treat conditions affecting similar and associated anatomic structures. Our patients often present with pathologies of their airways\, tonsils\, sinuses\, and nasal passages that are outside the scope of dentistry\, yet these conditions affect our patient’s dental and general health. In this session\, Michael Hutz\, MD from Rush University’s Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery department\, discusses effective ways for dentists and otolaryngologists to refer and collaborate to effectively manage our patient’s conditions. \nSpeaker Bio:Michael Hutz\, MD\, practices in Rush University’s Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery department. He attended medical school and completed his otolaryngology residency at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He also completed a sleep medicine fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea. He’s passionate about restoring patients’ health\, energy\, and quality of life through a range of surgical and non-surgical solutions. \nLearning Objectives:\n1.
