DESCRIPTION:Join the North Suburban Branch at the Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park on January 12\, 2027 for “Interdisciplinary Orthodontics” presented by Dr. Ben Belavsky\, DDS\, MS. \nRSVP deadline is January 7th.  \nCourse Description: To review and discuss various ways specialists\, dentists\, and orthodontics can collaborate together. \nSpeaker Bio: Dr. Ben Belavsky\, DDS\, MS has been a lifelong Illinoisian and learned everything he could within the University of Illinois system. He went to UIUC (BS Integrative Biology ‘09)\, then to UIC (DDS ’13)\, and then stayed at UIC (MS/Cert. Orthodontics ’16). \nHe practices orthodontics with his amazing partner\, Dr. Kristina Sakas Katz\, where they have a fabulous time creating beautiful smiles in Buffalo Grove\, IL and Deerfield\, IL. Additionally\, he is a clinical assistant professor at the Marquette University School of Dentistry\, in the Department of Orthodontics. He is a member of all the usual acronyms that all dentists and dental specialists belong to and is also a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists – he even knows their secret handshake. Finally\, he was branch president of the CDS NW Suburban branch and has stayed involved in organized dentistry in various other capacities. \nOutside of orthodontics\, he spends his time cooking and cleaning in order to earn brownie points with his wife\, Ashley. \nLearning Objectives:\n1. Identify when to appropriately refer to an orthodontist (Hint: Always)\n2. Learn about various interdisciplinary modalities of care that involve orthodontics\n3.
