Ms. Mildred Goldstein is the president of Harry J. Bosworth Company, a Skokie-based manufacturer of dental materials. She has held that position since 1992. Ms. Goldstein is a past chair of the American Dental Trade Association and past president of the International Dental Manufacturers. She is vice president of the Academy of Dentistry International Foundation, a board member for Oral Health America, and a member of the American Dental Assistants Association Foundation. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and earned her MBA from Indiana University. She and her husband, Herb Pozen, enjoy skiing, hiking, fishing and bicycling.
Dr. Mary Hayes is a past president of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and longtime active member of the Chicago Dental Society, where she has been both a member and chair of the Communications Committee. She is a liaison to Tuesday's Child Board and a consultant to the Head Start programs of the Chicago Public Schools and the Ounce of Prevention Fund. The Chicago Dental Society has honored her commitment to advancing public understanding of dentistry with the Cushing Award and the American Association of Women Dentists recognized her with the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award. Dr. Hayes has a pediatric dental practice in downtown Chicago.
Dr. Mary Starsiak is a former director of the Chicago Dental Society's Northwest Side Branch, and also served on several committees within CDS, the Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. An active participant in organized dentistry, Dr. Starsiak is also a member of the Resurrection Healthcare Foundation Board and Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center Renaissance Council. In private practice on Chicago's northwest side, Dr. Starsiak comes from a family of dentists: her father, William Starsiak Sr., was a general dentist and her brother, William Starsiak Jr., is an oral surgeon on active duty with the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Jeffrey Socher is a past president of the Chicago Dental Society and a past trustee for the Illinois State Dental Society's Paul W. Clopper Memorial Foundation, where he served as chair for seven years. In addition to his involvement with CDS, Dr. Socher is also active within the American Dental Association, where he has served on the Council on Scientific Affairs and the Council on Annual Sessions. He has served on many committees for the Illinois State Dental Society, and ISDS honored him with the Distinguished Dentist of the Year Award in 2002. In 2008, he was honored with the Thaddeus Weclew Award from the International College of Dentists and Academy of General Dentistry. He served for two years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy. For more than forty years, he has practiced general dentistry in Arlington Heights, where also resides with his wife, Christine.
Dr. Terri Tiersky is a past director to the Chicago Dental Society's Board of Directors and the 2011 general chair of the Midwinter Meeting. She serves on several CDS committees and is active in the society's North Side Branch. In addition to her commitments with CDS, she is also an active member of the Illinois State Dental Society, serving on the Board of Trustees. She is on the Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs for the American Dental Association, and is a fellow with the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. She is a board member of the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Dr. Tiersky earned her dental degree from Loyola University's Dental School and her JD from John Marshall Law School. She practices in Chicago, and lives in Highland Park with her husband, Roland Davidson, and their daughter, Devin.
Mr. Randall Grove is the executive director of the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Kevin King maintains a private practice in Palos Heights, IL, and has long been active on various committees of the Chicago Dental Society. He was also a frequent volunteer at several of Chicago’s community dental clinics, which fed his passion for community dentistry and opening the CDS Foundation Dental Clinic in Wheaton. Dr. King is a founding member of the CDS Foundation Dental Clinic’s Board of Managers, on which he currently serves.
Dr. Ilie Pavel is the Director of the North Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. He maintains a private practice in Chicago.
Mr. David Lang is president of Lang Dental Manufacturing, based in Wheeling, Illinois.
Dr. Trucia Drummond maintains a private practice in the Loop.
Dr. Michael Durbin is a past board director of the Chicago Dental Society Board of Directors. Dr. Durbin is orthodontist with practices in Des Plaines and Long Grove. He resides in Prospect Heights with his wife Dr. Renee Pappas and their two children, Kristen and Peter.
Dr. Patrick Hann is a past director to the Chicago Dental Society's Board of Directors and served as the General Chair of the 2007 Midwinter Meeting. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Odontographic Society of Chicago and has been active in organized dentistry at both the state and national levels. Dr. Hann earned his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He practices in the Edgebrook/Sauganash area of Chicago and lives in Morton Grove with his wife, Sharon.
Dr. Barbara Mousel is a past director of the Chicago Dental Society's Board of Directors. She resides and practices in Chicago.
Ms. Neiner is Vice President Corporate Development and Professional Relations at Hu-Friedy Manufacturing Co., a Chicago-based dental instrument manufacturer.
Dr. James Robinson is a member of the CDS Board of Directors and a graduate of the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Odontographic Society of Chicago, the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists. He practices in downtown Chicago, where he also resides with his wife, Carol. They have three children.
Dr. Keith Suchy is past president of the Chicago Dental Society. He lives and practices in Westchester, where he has served as president of the Westchester Chamber of Commerce and as the organization's treasurer and chair of Fun Fest. He resides in Westchester with his wife, Dr. Dawn Arnashus, also a dentist, and their three children.
Dr. Denise Hale represents the Englewood Branch on Chicago Dental Society's Board of Directors. Dr. Hale is active in dentistry at the state and national levels, and has served on the Illinois State Dental Society Board of Trustees. She practices in Palos Heights and resides in Orland Park with her husband, Robert Sorpassa. They have two children.
Dr. Phillip Fijal is the treasurer for the Chicago Dental Society's Board of Directors and has served the society as past board director and program chair of the 2008 Midwinter Meeting. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Jan. They have two children, Phillip and Kristie.

A tradition of working for the dental profession. The Chicago Dental Society was organized in 1864 and incorporated in 1878. The objective of the Chicago Dental Society is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry and to represent the intrest of the members of the profession and the public that it serves.
