CDS introduces Hadley the Hound

Hadley the Hound, the newest member and first official mascot of the Chicago Dental Society debuted in Chicago, Tuesday, Nov. 18. With the celebration of CDS’ 150th year coming to a close — and our celebration of the 150th Midwinter Meeting beginning - it’s a special time for Hadley to be joining CDS.

The CDS Communications Committee has been working for the last three years on making Hadley a reality. The committee chose Hadley’s name to commemorate the first president of CDS in 1864, Elijah W. Hadley.

“The Communications Committee is excited about the arrival of Hadley. He will be a great addition to the CDS family to help celebrate the past 150 years and to welcome the next 150,” said 2015 Communications Committee Chair Genaro Romo.

Hadley will be touring the city of Chicago in anticipation of the 150th Midwinter Meeting. Follow along on Tuesdays on Facebook and Twitter in the weeks leading up to the Midwinter Meeting, as he showcases the best Chicago has to offer and does a little brush-up on the city to really make it shine.

Have you registered for the Midwinter Meeting yet? Hadley has. Look for the green K9 jersey, the big green CDS hat, and the even bigger green sneakers at the Midwinter Meeting Feb. 26-28. His tail is already wagging in anticipation of his first meeting.

Because of Hadley’s packed schedule leading up to the Midwinter Meeting, he will not be available for school or community events until after the Midwinter Meeting.
