Register Early

We strongly recommend online pre-registration, which is in real time. This is of primary importance because courses sell out quickly. If you prefer an alternate to online registration please mail or fax your registration by the Jan. 18, 2009, deadline. Online registration continues through Jan. 31, 2009. When you pre-register, your registration package is mailed to you and includes your badge, badge holder, course tickets, Special Events tickets and/or vouchers. There is no need to go to the on-site registration area at McCormick Place. In 2009, additional course tickets can be purchased at ticket sales booths in three locations, Lakeside Ballroom Information Desk, South Building Level 4, South Building Level 5.

Pre-registration for the Midwinter Meeting has many benefits. Pre-registration by Dec. 31, 2008, offers attendees the lowest badge fee. Pre-registration between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31, 2009, is the second lowest badge fee. The tiered registration fee details are available here.

Pre-register to save time and money!

When you pre-register for the meeting you may pre-order tickets for F (Free) Courses (as well as all other courses) to reserve your place and be seated first if you arrive by the start of the class. Pre-register early to save money on the cost of registration.

Between 2,500 and 4,000 people attempt to register on site between 7:30 a.m. and noon each of the first two days of the meeting. Every effort is made to accommodate these attendees, however, long lines are inevitable. CDS urges attendees to preregister early, preferably by Internet, to avoid the long lines. Please remember that Internet registration is in “real time,” meaning that course tickets are being reserved instantly. Mailed and faxed registrations do not offer that same guarantee.

Online Additions

Online registration will allow additions after the original order has been placed. Please note that no deletions or refunds will be accepted online.

Payment of Fees

All payments must be made in U.S. dollars by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or by personal check drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable to the Chicago Dental Society. CDS makes an effort to process all pre-registration requests. However, pre-registration forms received after Jan. 18, 2009 (mail/fax), or Jan. 31, 2009 (Internet), will not be accepted. If you miss the deadline, you can only register on site.

A CDS Membership Pays Dividends

Free registration for the Midwinter Meeting is a benefit available only to those CDS members who have paid their 2009 dues. Online registration saves you time because everything you need to attend the meeting is mailed to you well in advance of the meeting. Even if you plan to attend only F Courses, pre-registration is important because you may reserve tickets in advance (these courses fill up quickly). Pre-register to avoid the lines at McCormick Place and guarantee your seat in the F Course(s) of your choice as long as you arrive by the start of the course. Associate members receive the same benefits as members, including free registration for the Midwinter Meeting, the opportunity to participate in CDS Special Events throughout the year, and much more. Refunds

All badge/course pre-registration cancellations or requests for refunds must be made in writing and received in the offices of Advanced Tradeshow Technologies, postmarked no later than Feb. 6, 2009. If your badges and/or course tickets have been mailed or received, they must be returned with the request for cancellation/refund. If your tickets have been produced and/or mailed, a $10 service and handling fee will be deducted from the amount of the refund.

The deadline to request refunds for special events is Feb. 6, 2009. The deadline for special tours is Jan. 18, 2009. There are no refunds for specific tours where noted, regardless of the circumstances. Please allow eight (8) weeks after the MWM for processing refunds. No refund requests will be accepted onsite. No refunds will be processed without original tickets/badges. Credit card registrations will be refunded to the original credit card, which expedites the refund process.
