Lou Imburgia, DDS, a general dentist who practices in Park Ridge, was elected to the board of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Imburgia was installed as a board member at a ceremony held on Sunday, November 15, at the Ritz-Carlton. He will serve a three-year term representing the Northwest Side Branch.
The Chicago Dental Society, which was established in 1864, has more than 4,000 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties, making it the largest local society of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS).
Dr. Imburgia earned his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He was named Arcolian of the Year by the Arcolian Dental Arts Society. He is also an active member with the ADA and ISDS.
Dr. Imburgia is a long-time volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and served for several years with Boy Scouts, including as a treasurer and assistant den leader.
He resides in Prospect Heights with his wife, Rosemary. They have three children.

The objective of the Chicago Dental Society is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry and to represent the intrest of the members of the profession and the public that it serves.
