Dr. M. Nader Sharifi is the recipient of this year's Gordon J. Christensen Recognition Lecturer Award. Dr. Sharifi is a general dentist in Chicago and has served as an assistant professor, consultant, textbook author and frequent lecturer.
The award acknowledges the many outstanding contributions made to the dental profession, and particularly to the Midwinter Meeting, by Dr. Gordon Christensen. Dr. Sharifi will receive the award on Thursday, February 22, during the Opening Session.
At the Midwinter Meeting, Dr. Sharifi will be teaching two courses: “Complete Denture Techniques for the 21st Century” and “A Partial Course on Partial Dentures.
The Christensen Award is awarded annually to a dentist who “exemplifies conscientious loyalty to the profession and demonstrates the potential to be one of the future great teachers of restorative dentistry.” The award was established in 1990

The objective of the Chicago Dental Society is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry and to represent the intrest of the members of the profession and the public that it serves.
