Chicago Dental Society's Annual Conference Draws More Than 32,000 Attendees
(CHICAGO) The Chicago Dental Society's annual Midwinter Meeting drew 32,814 dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and exhibitors, among others, to Chicago's McCormick Place from February 24-27. Attendees at the meeting included
The theme for this year's meeting was A Dental Symphony: Opus 140. More than 100 courses and learning opportunities were offered to attendees, including a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Gordon Christensen and a presentation by Dr. William Dorfman of Extreme Makeover. In addition, more than 600 exhibitors from around the world participated in the meeting, creating one of the largest exhibits of dental products and manufacturers in North America.
The Midwinter Meeting is among the top three dental meetings in the U.S. and one of the top 20 conventions in Chicago. According to the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, the economic impact of last's years meeting on the city of Chicago was $44.7 million.
The 2006 Midwinter Meeting will be held February 23-26, at the McCormick Place Lakeside Center in Chicago. The theme for next year's meeting is Make Me Smile.
