Dr. William Dorfman is widely recognized as one of the country's leading dentists and is also renowned as an inventor and entrepreneur in the field of esthetic dentistry. He has been consulted for numerous television and magazine interviews, including, most recently, ABC's Extreme Makeover, The Today Show and Entertainment Tonight.
He graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles in 1980. He received his dental degree in 1983 from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and completed a two-year residency at a dental hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland.
In 1989, Dr. Dorfman formed Discus Dental, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of tooth-whitening, oral hygiene and esthetic dental products.
He is a member of the American Dental Association and one of the only 33 fellows in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also author of the best-selling book, The Smile Guide.
