Allen Knox, DDS, a dentist who practices in Chicago, was elected to the board of directors of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Knox was installed as a board member during a ceremony held on Thursday, November 17, in a ceremony held at Ritz Carlton in Chicago. He will serve a three-year term, to commence in January 2006.
The society, which was established in 1864, has more than 4,100 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties, making it the largest local society of the American Dental Association. Dr. Knox will represent the Kenwood-Hyde Park side branch of the society.
Dr. Knox earned his dental degree from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry and is expected to receive a master's in business administration from the University of Phoenix this December.
Dr. Knox is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United State Army Reserve. He resides in Chicago.

The objective of the Chicago Dental Society is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry and to represent the intrest of the members of the profession and the public that it serves.
