In addition to the nearly 100 courses available at Midwinter Meeting, there are also dozens of brief seminars. These 15-minute "table clinics" feature presentations by dentists and dental students working toward post-graduate degrees. One credit hour is provided for every three seminars a participant attends.

In this video, Maharukh Kravich, secretary of the Chicago Dental Society's Midwinter Meeting Table Clinic Committee, introduces this year's offerings. Kravich is followed by Luke Hamann, DMD, a second-year resident at the University of Iowa's Department of Endodontics who discusses a new root repair putty, and Christopher Hazel, a dentist who attended the table clinics for useful information that he can incorporate into his practice in Mishawaka, Ind.

"It's a very valuable source of information to find different techniques, different materials from different voices other than the periodicals that we receive in the mail," said Hazel. "It provides a fresh new look on old techniques that were taught back in the institutions, which you can build on."
