Nearly 700 Midwinter Meeting attendees have already downloaded our 2013 Midwinter Meeting App. It’s free, and currently available for all smartphones and tablets.
If you’ve already downloaded it (and deleted the old App, with its gray icon), we hope you’ll spend some time this weekend playing around with its features. We know at least one attendee already has.
CDS staff received this question from an attendee this week:
I've had the app for a while. It seems to do nothing for me....When selecting "your courses" nothing but the calendar appears. Shouldn't my registered courses appear?
If you’re finding the same thing, don’t despair. The courses you have tickets for will not automatically appear in your App because the Midwinter Meeting mobile App isn’t linked to our registration system. Attendees must search in the App for the courses they plan to attend (search by day, topic or speaker) and tap on the flag to the right of the course title. A red flag will make the course appear in your calendar in the App.
Do this now (say, between commercials during Sunday’s football game) to save time and frustration during the Midwinter Meeting. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to tap “Your Favorites” and “Your Course Schedule” to quickly find the times and locations of your chosen destinations.
